My colleague Christian Lowe over at Defense Tech spotted this shot of soldiers in full-up MultiCam, identified as being from 2-12. It provides a good sense of how effective the camo is in the mountainous and heavily vegetated terrain found in much of Afghanistan (look closely behind the second soldier there are two more following behind him). From the looks of it, this photo was shot in the eastern part of the country. How well the camo pattern would work in the extreme south around Helmand and Kandahar I'm not sure.
