Good, Bad...I'm the Guy with the Gun

One minute you’re pulling out of the S-Mart parking lot in your battered Oldsmobile, the next minute you’re crashing headlong into a medieval land haunted by fiends and dead guys. All you’ve got is a double barreled shotgun and a chainsaw.

Be easier to prevail if you could put some accessories on that coach gun wouldn’t it?

LaserLyte is the manufacturer of a piece of kit to address just that need. They’ve just released a quad-rail mount for double barrel shotguns.

It looks either terribly ungainly or wickedly tacti-cool, depending on your perspective—and so we’re clear, this isn’t an invitation to debate on whether you think a double barrel is suitably tactical or the best choice for home defense vs. an entry team vs. a mall ninja breaching gun. LaserLyte’s identified a niche need and designed something to meet that need and we like it.

You mount one of these, your warning to the locals might more likely be, “Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up! This is my boomstick! A twelve-gauge double-barreled coach gun, S-Mart’s top of the line. The light burns at 2,000 lumens and the laser guarantees I’ll wipe the smirk off your dirty face. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?”

The double barrel quad-rail mount adds four three-inch Picatinny rails to most double 12-gauges, obviously making it possible to add one or more lights, a laser or a PEQ-2 if you’re really ambitious. This makes clearing the back part of your house easier and is substantially more efficient than using a zip-tie and an old mag light. The system clamps down tight with six hex screws and is made of aircraft grade aluminum, coated with protective rubble to ensure a firm grip while at the same time preventing scratches to the barrel.

The LaserLyte Double Barrel Quad-Rail sells for $74.95, MSRP. We haven’t tried one out yet but we will and we’ll fill you in. Check it out at wow.laserlyte.com.

Hail to the king, baby.
