Video: Cobham Restraint System Follows You Around the Helo

I've never felt that secure shooting pics from the door of an MV-22 wearing one of those old school rigger's belts. And though I'm sure plenty of crew have been saved from a parachuteless plunge by the low-tech standby, there's got to be a better way.

Cobham is making a new restraint system that can integrate directly with your body armor instead of using the big old chest band. What's more, the Mobile Aircrew Restraint System attaches to a reel (not unlike some hunting tree stand restraint systems) that keeps you connected to a point wherever you go in the aircraft. Our boy Glenn Anderson caught the folks from Cobham on the floor of this year's Sea, Air, Space expo outside Washington, DC., for a video walkthrough.
