End of snipers as we know them.

Don’t discount the sniper now or the likelihood that this never happens.

This round will likely be twice the cost of normal .50 round which isn’t cheap to begin with, it is designed for machine guns not big bore sniper rifles, it relies on a laser designator lighting up the target so that it can see where it is supposed to hit, and since it is in a machine gun it will have to be a very accurate machine gun to keep it in the ballpark when it is initially fired if they want to hit something a half-mile or mile away. We are not talking about a mini TOW missile here, it has its limitations.

First time I read about this I couldn’t help but think about the bullets from “Who Framed Roger Rabit.” I don’t know why but that is what I think of when I see this… Maybe even the machine gun from the movie “Fifth Element.”

Finally. I can become a sniper using my computer skills. I’m going to join the Drone jockies and pilot bullets for a living.

If I miss I’m blaming it on lag….

The trigger. Replaced by the command CTRL S.

S for send it… Get it?

They won’t be used for the human troops(The new style sabot) but the humanoid type robot his partner will. Being made of material all “EMP”/bullet protected this new troop will enhance the battlefield 10 times more over in effectiveness.

I wouldn’t hold my breathe waiting for these. Keep practicing on the range.

Just read on one of the provided links that this round only works out of a non-rifled barrel. So, troops will have to either swap out barrels to use it on a standard mg or this will have to be implemented as a new single purpose weapon.
