Army Taps Gun Makers to Advance in Carbine Competition

FacebookXPinterestEmailEmailEmailShare

I just found out a couple of hours ago that the Army notified Colt Defense LLC, Heckler & Koch, Remington Arms Company and Adcor Defense Inc. that they made the cut to compete in Phase II of the service's competition to replace the M4 Carbine.

UPDATE: FNH USA confirmed today that it will also advance to Phase II.

There is likely more companies that have been selected to compete, but that's all I know right now. FNH USA has not gotten back to me yet.

Army officials are hiding behind Federal Acquisition Regulations, saying that they can't say which companies are still in the competition and which have been told to hit the road.

UPDATE:

Ok here's the story with more details on this on Military.com
