Gun Porn: ABreon Custom

This is the picture that started me looking....

Mark at B5 Systems sent me a picture the other day of some custom work they’d had done to some SOPMOD stocks. I’m not sure if he was gloating or trying to pique my interest, but whatever Machiavellian purposes lay behind the message it worked. The custom work done on the stocks was performed by Adam at A Breon Custom. In simplest terms, they apply thermal infused graphics on AR15 accessories, including magazines. He can also add imagery to other ‘polymer furniture’ and plastic bases.

My biggest concern about doing any custom work to a PMag or a stock is always durability. If you paint it yourself, you can always repaint it after it wears away, but if you’re paying for some hooah/moto/tacticool logo or image you’re probably going to want it to last. I could touch up a stick figure, for instance, but anything past that is beyond the limits of my artistic ability.

From what Mark advised, what some other reviewers have said and what I saw in the video, staying power isn’t an issue with Adam’s work. Obviously if the material is damaged or removed, the image surface will be lost (can’t maintain graffiti if the bricks behind it are gone) but the thermal image itself appears to withstand abrasion and nicks remarkably well.
