SureFire just unveiled its latest, high-tech toy – the FirePak smartphone video illuminator.

“The revolutionary smart phone video illuminator + charger enable smart phone users to shoot vibrant high-quality video at night or in poorly lit spaces -something never before possible!” according to a Surefire press release.

FirePak features two high-performance LEDs whose light output is shaped by two specially designed reflectors that create a blended beam shaped to perfectly fit a 16:9 HD video frame – up to 1500 lumens and with an effective range of 50 feet.

“FirePak’s disbursed light pattern and far-reaching range renders breathtaking video images under low light conditions that can also be used for still photos,” the release states. “It has four output levels that are selectable remotely via a free Bluetooth app or manually with the integrated side switch, so the right amount of light can be selected.”

An energy-dense Li-ion battery provides extensive power & runtime for illumination and sufficient power to re-charge smartphones up to two times, depending on model, according to the release.

USB and Micro-USB ports provide simple capability to charge your smartphone and also to recharge the FirePak itself.

Integrated rails securely attach to popular smartphones via specially developed SureFire cases. SureFire offers high-quality phone cases, sold separately for the iPhone 6/6S and Galaxy S5, that easily and securely attach the phone and phone case to the fire packs integrated rails.
