Light-Mounted Baseball Bat

by admin on November 19, 2012 · 10 comments

Last week we ran an article about weapon-mounted lights for handguns. It sparked an interesting debate that still continues.  However, there are some cities and states that do not allow handguns. In some places you must rely on your wits, fists or a cudgel for self-defense. Here is a different sort of weapon with an integral light for those locales: the LED baseball bat.

Currently available in two different sizes, with a 3-watt LED bulb (including a flashing mode) it may not be the perfect thing for self-defense but it beats a wiffle bat (if not by much).

More like a billy club than a baseball bat

Let’s put some quad rails on that sucker and add a pepper spray attachment, Taser, 300,000 volt stun gun, forward grip and a glock. Oh and change the grip to a collapsible M-4 style stock. Some kind of digital recording device to show that what we did was legal. A finger print recognition should be placed in the forward grip to work all accessories thereby preventing any unauthorized use.
Sorry just couldn’t help myself…

The body should be made of a heavy clear plastic and illuminated from the inside. It would be an omnidirectional glowing light instead of a spotlight. That way you’re not removing the light from your target as you draw back for a swing.

I just went to the website where this bat is for sale and they are all out of the 23 inch model. Several other sites only carry the shorter versions. There is also a wooden version by some other company.

It’s not that big of a leap in logic, maglite’s been around for years as was already mentioned, and ASP makes a flashlight that screws into the end cap of the baton. For that matter their’s also brite strike (http://www.lapolicegear.com/brite-flex-package.html) which on a side note does actually make a flashlight with a camera built in E Ronc

Nothing beats turning your hands, feet, knees and elbows into lethal weapons.
Legal in all country’s and only beatable by a gun from a distance.
